Non-league round-up: Dulwich drop peril grows as Bromley’s slump continues
Dulwich Hamlet are only out of the National League South relegation zone on goal difference after a 1-0 loss to Tonbridge Angels on Saturday.
Gavin Rose’s side have lost five of their last seven matches – taking four points from a possible 21 – and this was a third successive reverse.
Billericay are directly below Dulwich but have four matches in hand. Joe Turner scored in the 86th minute to condemn Hamlet to a ninth home league defeat in front of a crowd of 2,663.
Bromley are 12th in the National League – their former player Omar Bugiel netting in the 17th minute as Sutton United triumphed at Hayes Lane.
The Ravens have not won in eight games, losing seven of those, as their play-off hopes have been severely dented.
Bromley’s impressive start to the campaign means they are still only three points behind Stockport despite their slump in 2020.
Manager Neil Smith said: “We’ve had 20 attempts at goal – they’ve had one. As bad as the referee might have been, and the decisions he was giving or not giving, you can’t create that amount of chances and not score a goal.
“We’ve got to start scoring. I’m getting frustrated. Are we playing bad? No. But are we winning games? No. I’d take a bad game and a win.”
Fisher fought back from 2-1 down at K Sports to prevail 3-2 in the SCEFL Premier Division.
The Fish’s goals came from Malaki Coker, Jacob Katonia and Adebola Oluwo.
