On-loan Spurs man set to sit out Millwall’s fixture at Rotherham United
Troy Parrott looks set to have to wait a little while longer for his Millwall debut – with manager Gary Rowett not expecting the on-loan Tottenham man to feature in Saturday’s league match at Rotherham United.
The Republic of Ireland international has missed all three of the Lions’ competitive fixtures with a quad injury.
And Rowett believes this weekend’s Championship game will come too soon.
“Troy is making really good progress but it’s almost certainly too quick.
“I’m hopeful he can be training by the end of this week and then get the sessions in next week so we can see where we’re at. We don’t want to rush him, but equally we want to get him back involved and get him some match minutes.
“We more or less came through the Cheltenham game unscathed, just a couple of bumps and bruises.
“Frank Fielding had a good period of training. We’ll have a look again whether we feel he is ready to sit on the bench or not.”
