QPR suffer injury blow – as Osayi-Samuel omitted from squad for Luton victory

QPR midfielder Tom Carroll is set to be out for up to three months with a knee problem.
The 28-year-old signed in September as a free agent and suffered the setback in the 2-0 win at Luton earlier this month.
R’s manager Mark Warburton said: “Tom’s had a nasty injury, one at Luton, and he played on after that. Unfortunately it was nastier than we first realised.
“Tom had an operation last Saturday and will probably miss a good few weeks. I’m really devastated for Tom.
“He’d worked so hard to get fit and he’d contributed and added quality. We look forward to welcoming him back.”
Chris Willock’s second-half goal saw Rangers make it back-to-back Championship victories – this time with a 1-0 result at Cardiff on Wednesday evening.
Bright Osayi-Samuel, who recently signed a pre-contract agreement to join Turkish club Fenerbahce in the summer, was not part of the matchday squad.
