Ted Cheeseman loses British title after sickening knockout defeat at the hands of Troy Williamson
Ted Cheeseman lost his British super-welterweight title in a thriller against Troy Williamson at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena.
The Bermondsey fighter was knocked out in the 10th round in a contest which had ebbed and flowed at an unrelenting pace.

So many of the rounds were difficult to score before Darlington’s Williamson landed a brutal right uppercut and then a chopping left hook to drop Cheeseman on his back.
It is the South Londoner’s third defeat in 21 professional bouts but first by stoppage.
Cheeseman’s promoter Eddie Hearn tweeted: “That was just a brilliant brutal fight. Gutted for Ted but Troy was brilliant.”
Williamson told DAZN: “It was a very tough fight. We knew exactly how tough it would be. I worked my arse off in the gym with my coach.
“I know how tough I am and I’ve shown everyone tonight. Nobody has got to see me perform because I’ve always been on these small-hall shows. I’ve come up the hard way and now I’m here everyone knows what Troy Williamson is all about.”
