‘That’s the least of my worries’ – Millwall boss when asked about Sheffield United loanee’s treatment plan
Gary Rowet has talked in more detail about Millwall’s injury issues – with Benik Afobe set to be missing again for this weekend’s Championship match at Blackburn Rovers.
Sheffield United loanee Luke Freeman is facing a major battle to feature again this season after injuring his hamstring.
And his Blades team-mate Oliver Burke suffered the same injury and had to come off in tonight’s 2-0 win over QPR.
Afobe also sustained a hamstring problem in Saturday’s 2-1 victory against Cardiff City in SE16.
Asked if Freeman would do his rehab with Millwall or his parent club, Rowett replied: “That’s the least of my concerns. The fact he is unavailable for a large part of the season is disappointing.

“Benik is better news. I think his is only a mild hamstring injury, so maybe a couple of weeks.
“Scottie Malone came off with cramp. You had a few at full tilt – Mason and Jed. Every time someone goes in for a challenge I’m closing my eyes.
“If you think about Dan Ballard, Lenny, Bradshaw, Ojo – the list keeps going on. Jed was out for a long period of time. That’s been the big factor in our season. Fair play to the players to put in a big performance like that tonight when we’re down to the bare bones. We were magnificent. I’m certainly a very proud manager this evening.”
