Vicente Guaita signs new Crystal Palace contract until 2023
Crystal Palace have confirmed Vicente Guaita has signed a new deal until the summer of 2023.
The Eagles keeper had recently been linked with a move to Real Sociedad, with Spanish press reports claiming he was due to be a free agent in the summer.
But Guaita is thought to have extended his stay in SE25 a while ago, with the Premier League club not always instantly announcing contract updates.
There is also an option for another 12 months.
Guaita said: “I am so happy to extend my time at Crystal Palace with my contract until 2023.
“My family is really settled here in South London, and I have enjoyed my time with Roy, Deano, all the coaches, and my team-mates playing in the Premier League, and have a great relationship with the fans of Crystal Palace.”
Eagles chairman Steve Parish added: “I am delighted that Vicente has committed his future to Crystal Palace.
“He is an extremely talented goalkeeper whose contribution has been invaluable over the last few seasons and I am sure will continue to be so in the upcoming months and years.”
