Charlton manager Bowyer on possibility of Jed Steer loan recall by Aston Villa
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Charlton manager Lee Bowyer admits the League One club are powerless to prevent Jed Steer heading back to Aston Villa in January.
The Championship side have a recall option in the loan deal.
Steer has dislodged Dillon Phillips as number one choice for the Addicks.
And there have been suggestions that Villa – under new management since Steer’s switch with Dean Smith replacing Steve Bruce – could take him back to the Midlands.
“There’s a possibly that he could get recalled,” said Bowyer. “That’s out of our hands, we can’t control that.
“But we’ll try to persuade them to let him stay, but it is nothing we can control.”

He should stay dahn our gaff, Villa don’t need him.
Phillips is well worthy of taking over!but don’t see why villa should want jed back
