Oli Burke reveals two key men in making his Millwall loan switch a reality

Oliver Burke has picked out Millwall manager Gary Rowett and head of recruitment Harvey Bussell as key factors in his loan move.

The Lions completed the signing of the Sheffield United attacker yesterday.

Burke is set to make his debut at Blackpool today.

Asked what Millwall fans can expect from him when he is settled in, he told Millwall Recast: “A lot of pace. I’m a quick player who can create opportunities. Hopefully I can get the fans off their feet and be exciting.

“I’m still young but I’d like to think I’m a senior pro.

“The experience of different teams and levels, it helps you adapt. Hopefully I can fit in fairly soon.

“He [Rowett] gets the very best out of his players. What more do you want from a manager?

“It’s a massive club, a massive team that is doing very well this season. Hopefully I can give them that extra push. The gaffer Gary [Rowett] was a massive influence – Harvey [Bussell] as well – everything they said made sense for me to come here.

“Hopefully I can really kickstart things with my career again, get some game time and help the team.

“There are some very exciting players here, a lot of flair, hopefully we can link up together and create a great bond.”
