Charlton Athletic have announced that following the sale of their initial 36,945 allocation of tickets for Sunday’s League One play-off final against Leyton Orient, they have received a further 1,400.
The club announced at 6pm on Tuesday that it had sold 25,000 tickets by midday – with the remaining near-12,000 snapped up within two hours of making them available to supporters on the club’s ticketing database.
Charlton requested further tickets and have been allocated an additional 1,400.
“A further communication will be issued to fans ahead of these tickets going on sale, which will be in the next 48 hours, once the club has final sign-off to go on sale,” said the Addicks in a statement on their website yesterday evening.
“Given the exceptionally high demand, the club are continuing to request more tickets in addition to the further 1,400.”
Supporters who have already made their purchases have been told they will receive their e-tickets by 6pm on Thursday.
